In Norse mythology Thor is portrayed as huge, sturdy, and strong. The god of Thunder & Sky could be fearsome with his hot temper, but many myths portray him as good natured. His favored weapon, Mjölnir, was a hammer that had the power to level mountains. When placed down, it is said that it cannot be lifted or moved except by a ‘worthy’ individual. Inspired by this myth, the Thor Table is produced by skilled artisans in our New York studio with a solid base of steel and a warm wood top.
